Submissions Guidelines

Please make sure you read this before submitting.

-Fill out and submit the application form

-Provide a minimum of three examples of your work.
-Submission period is from 01-Ocotober-2019 to 31-December-2019 Extended to 14-January-2020.

-If accepted you must fill out and submit a release form.

-If accepted hi-res images of 300dpi, minimum of 2500 pixels, on the longest side, and not watermarked will be requested.
-If accepted, hi-res images must be submitted by the 30-January-2020

-If you require or desire professional photos of yourself or your work, this can be arranged.

Slippery Photography will photograph for free, and you will receive copies of the photos as well. This is available for Melbourne only, or those available to travel to/ship wares to Melbourne.

-Please select which type of feature you would like (you can nominate multiple). They include:

+Work Feature: Images of your work will be placed in the magazine. No further information (beside
accreditation and title) will be included.
+Biography: Alongside your work a biography about yourself and your practice will be included

+Interview: Alongside your work an interview will be included

+Critical Analysis: Alongside your work, a critical analysis of that piece/series will be included.

-If accepted you may be required to provide us with further information on yourself or your work. The amount of information will be dependent on which type of feature you will receive. You must provide this information by the 20-January-2019

-You must own the rights to the work, or if accepted the party who does own the rights to the content will need to sign our content release.

-All dates set out must be abide by, if you fail to meet a deadline your feature will be pulled.

-Under 18s are not accepted (this is due to the adult nature of some issues, and legality issues)

-All applications must be made through email. Any to the facebook page will not be accepted.

-Current compensation is digital tear-sheets. This is a print-on-demand publication and does not offer complimentary copies.

-Afflatus does not offer reimbursement for any time or money contributors have spent on submitted work.

-All applications will be responded to. Confirmations of submission will be sent out. Most acceptance/rejection responses will occur after the submission deadline.

-We do not promise publication.

-Previously published work can be accepted, though exclusive work may be prioritized
